Ⅰ.考試要求
根據教育部《普通高中英語課程標準(實驗)》(以下簡稱《標準》)，考生一般應達到《標準》中規定的最低水平，即高中6級。
Ⅱ.考試內容
聽障生招生英語考試主要考察考生應該學習和掌握的英語語言基礎知識，包括詞匯、語法、閱讀、寫作和翻譯等五個方面的內容。
一、詞匯
1. 報考藝術類專業的考生要基本了解和掌握1200-1500個單詞及相關詞組;報考理工類專業的考生要基本了解和掌握1500-2000個單詞及相關詞組。
2. 考生要了解和掌握單詞拼寫、詞語釋義、構詞法及詞匯運用。
二、語法
1. 考生要了解常用語言形式的基本結構和常用表意功能。
2. 考生要理解和掌握描述人和物的表達方式。
3. 考生要理解和掌握描述具體事件和具體行為的發生、發展過程的表達方式。
4. 考生要掌握描述時間、地點、方位的表達方式。
5. 考生要理解、掌握比較人、物體及事物的表達方式。
三、閱讀
1. 考生要基本讀懂與學生個人、家庭和學校生活密切相關的材料或文章。
2. 考生要熟悉有關日常生活、興趣愛好、風俗習慣、科學文化等方面的話題。
四、寫作
要求考生根據提示進行書面表達。考生應能：
1. 書面表達問候、告別、感謝、介紹等。
2. 使用一定的句型、詞匯，清楚、連貫地表達自己的意思。
五、翻譯
1. 考生要能夠將熟悉的英語短文或英語單句翻譯成漢語，英語短文不超過150個詞。
2. 考生要能夠將簡單的漢語單句翻譯成英語。
